I'm reviewing a free and excellent program.  It's Trillian Astra (4.0).  Many of you readers know I reviewed Trillian 3.1 in the past.  The developers made a whole new design with the messenger.  It supports a lot more services including the main stream services, AOL, MSN, ICQ, IRC and Yahoo.  Now it supports most popular services, MySpaceIM, Facebook Google Talk, Twitter, Skype, Bonjour and more.  It runs on different platforms such as Windows 7, Mac (beta) and the iPhone now.  Some users don’t like the new version because users must register for an account with Trillian’s community to use the client.  But it’s no problem because it is like everywhere you go.  Trillian has a brand new interface. Trillian is for beginners and advanced users. The program has good features.  I like the history feature.  History can record all your messages, audio chats and video chats.  It’s good for recording special moments with family.  Trillian Astra is now capable to receive offline messages from any services it supports.  Trillian has a lot more emoticons then all the other messenger clients.  Trillian allows you to chat with several conversations in one IM window without having to waste memory with multiple IM windows in the taskbar.  Trillian has skins, and you can download skins from Trillian’s web site.  Trillian has a pro version you can buy with a few good other features.  I’m giving Trillian Astra my four stars.  Good Job Cerulean Studios.
